One-Day
Twin Programs Trip to Mangrove Forest &
Hong Island
Talane Mangrove Forest
About half way along the coast between Tan Bok Khorani
and Krabi town is a bay of mangrove that well may be the most beautiful
in all of Thailand. Here, surrounded by towering karst formation
and lovely offshore islands are complex channels, bays and canyon-like
passageways. Recently discovered, this setting is superb for having
a first time encounter with this ecosystem. Certainly a highlight
of this is a narrow channel cut through two towering karst complexes which
is passable during all but extreme low tide periods. Several special
of Kingfishers, Little Herons and Crab-Eating Macaques are almost guaranteed
sightings in this area. Ao Talane, though not officially designated
as a nation park, may soon become one. For now it remains a jewel
destination, undeveloped and without horrendous crowds.
Hong Island
Koh Hong also called Koh Lao Billeh. These
islands are shapes like half-circle. Enjoy the spectacular views
along the way while padding to explore around this wonderful island.
Marvel at the crystal clear emerald sea and white sandy beaches.
There are lots of shallow coral reefs to see and a breath-taking lagoon
(symbol of the island). We take time for swimming, snorkeling &
relaxing on the beach.

Full
Day Trip to Hong Island
| Hong Island stands out as one of
the most beautiful island of the Andaman cost. As your approach from
the sea the towering limestone formations & crystal clear water inspire
images of deserted Dream Island. Pelay beach boasts powder white
sand & wonderful coral & fish. Koh Hong’s name comes from
the Thai word “Hong”
which translates as “room”. |
|
| In the middle of beautiful island there lies
a hidden lagoon spot for local fishermen and is also one place where bird
nests are collected. The coral reefs here are amazing and siphons
can also be found. Naturally, there is an abundance of brightly.
Colored tropical fish also to be found here. |

Ban Bo Tho – Ao Luk Full Day
Trip
| The North Part of Krabi Province
boasts dramatic karst topography and an abundance of caves, there may not
be another area of the kingdom with so many intriguing caves in such close
proximity to one another. The first cave you visit, Tham Lok has
a spectacular tunnel through a karst formation richly adored with stalactites
and stalagmites. The entrance to the passage is overhung by a curtain
of jungle vines. The limestone cliffs surrounding the cave are richly
adored with endemic palms and cicada.
Continuing from Tham Lod, it is just a few minutes
paddle to “Pee Hua Toe” to the big head ghosts cave. A human skull
was found here, that was much larger than normal size, hence the name.
More extensive evidence of occupation can be found in the nearly 100 pictographs
adorning the cave’s walls and ceiling. Both real and mythological
people and animals are depicted in rich ochre, yellow and black pigments. |
|
| There are also vast numbers of shells in the
sedimentary rock and littering the cave floor, some of which may be part
of remains of prehistoric cave dwellers. Some of the stalactite formations
are also of special interested here as they bend radically towards the
light of the main cave entrance. There are actually three openings
to this great chamber, the highest of which offers an unspoiled view of
the mangroves, limestone crags and sea that has changed little since the
time this was home, or a ceremonial site, for ancient seafaring people.
